so i return home on july 25. and i'm excited yet sad at the same time. ive met so many awesome ppl over here i'm going to hate leaving. but then i'm only home for 3 weeks before i move down to texas for school. it's really unbelievable to me still. anyways about my week, it's been good. i have a cold, so my throat really hurts and i'm blowing my nose 24/7. but i did found a bunch of ceramics in my unit this past week. which has the professors stumped because it was actually in the wall. so i had to like dig a hole in the wall. they've never had to do that before. but one of the pieces of pottery is known as old blue. which dates probably around 1810 to 1820. so i was super excited. we are pretty much done with the digging. only a couple ppl get to finish their holes this next week. bre (a girl on the trip) found the jackpot because we are thinking that she found the midden, or garbage pile. so she was just pulling stuff out like nobody's business.
yeah this week has been pretty slow. the weather here has been perfect. but i really dont know what else to write. and i'm getting yelled about by some ppl to get going because we are heading to strandhill. which is by sligo. we are going to lay on the beach and then we are getting a seaweed bath (individually). alright well talk to ya'll later and see you soon!

yo brit.let it be known that i posted before your brother this time. not much going on except that it's been crazy hot. we haven't gone below the upper 80's for about two weeks now. this past weekend chicago reached 100. i've convinced nick to lend me his fan since he has ac and doesn't need it. note to self, next appartment must have air conditioning.
in wedding news: nick and i had our engagement party this past weekend. we invited mitch, but he was busy. the theme was monkey business and we had blow up monkies dressed like me and nick, monkeybread and frozen bannans dipped in chocolate for desert. i had my college girlfriends in town and nick invited his teacher friends and some u of c kids. and what's a party without karaoke. it was out of control.
in usa celebrity news: jessica simpson just had her birthday, angelina jolie and brad pitt adopted a girl from ethiopia, wedding crashers (vince vaughn and owen wilson) just came out as did johnny depp's charlie and the chocolate factory. nick and were going to try and see wedding crashers, but there was a traffic jam INSIDE the parking ramp (can you believe that?!), and we were literally stuck there for about 35 minutes. by the time we were able to move and find a parking spot, the movie was sold out. pretty sweet. not.
that's about all for now. i can't believe you come home in a couple of days. i hope your trip ends well and i can't wait to see you/hear your stories/look at pix when you come home.
